Mansoor Ali Malangi was born in 1947 in Garh Maharaja, near Darbar e Hazrat Sultan Baho, Tehsil Hazari, District Jhang, he was a legendary singer of Saraiki and Punjabi Sufi Music. He was very popular due to his great voice and singing style. Sariki/Punjabi folk singer Mansoor Malangi has performed numerous songs in the Punjabi, Urdu, and Saraiki languages.
 
In the tenure of 1970, his super hit song “Ik Phul Motia da Mar Ke Jaga Sohnie” became an instant hit across Pakistan. The legendary singer was transported to a local clinic that evening because of excessive blood pressure; there, he had a deadly heart attack and passed away immediately. This great singer died due to a heart attack on 11 December 2014 at the age of 66. 

Mansoor Ali Malangi Career and Early Life

Mansoor Malangi, who comes from a modest peasant family in Garh Mor, started his singing career in 1965 at Radio Pakistan in Lahore. Due to his distinctive voice and approach, he quickly gained notoriety. His folk tune “Ik Phul Motia da Mar ke Jaga Sohnie” touched the top of the charts in Pakistan in the late 1970s.
